If you could make one rule here at AM that everyone had to follow, what rule would you make?

Ms Admin would certainly allow us to make rule, at least for this question.

probably that people would stop asking personal questions like the person that just asked what type of underwear we're wearing

Not a rule ... but next to the ACTIVE box, but a TIME OUT box with users' avatars for bad behavior.

Monkeys are cool. They have salt accumulation, not lice.

I should have said "NO SNIVELING!"

No hate filled posts that never seem to end.  I just stay away for a day or two until they come back again, then I leave.  It is the same old rhetoric over and over.  Like a broken record, it's very annoying.

That's because the supply of hate is limited, so they have to recycle it.

Hey, that's not fair!  I'm a bit too flat-cheated to measure up to you!

It disturbs me that some people are allowed to come on here and spew hatred on a daily basis.   Which I don't think is socially respectful so does not make for acceptable social interaction.   There is plenty of room to express your beliefs and ideas without becoming vicious and hurtful and offensive.

One rule would be no more rules.   There are enough rules and guidelines here.   Adults who choose to be offended should learn to handle that and not expect others to adjust. "Offense" is subjective anyway. This post was edited by lavender at January 15, 2019 1:58 PM MST

Here's something which has been annoying me for a while: giving a "like" to a question and not answering it. The only exception I can make is when a question is addressed to a particular class of people to whom the reader does not belong and cannot answer; eg a man liking a question addressed to women, which he finds himself unable to respond to.

I'm guilty of doing that -- there are often times I find a question fascinating but I have no answer to give to the question. But I "like" the question anyway.

The idea is everyone should give information about their profile pic. I see few weird pics in profile and wonder!

I realize how I overuse the word 'favorite' -- I really do use it too much. Keeping that in mind, I do believe 1968's "Night of the Living Dead" is my favorite movie. No movie has impacted my life as much -- I read the novelization of the movie (written by co-screenplay author John Russo) when I was about 11 years old and it terrified me in all the best ways. At about 13 years old, I saw the movie for the first time at a drive-in theater with my dad, brother, sister, my sister's friend and my friend -- and the movie terrified me and all of us in the car were transfixed; my dad (dressed in old pants and a white dirty T-shirt [he had been working in the garage the whole day] ) at one point went to the concession stand and on the way back, he started to purposely shuffle like a 'living dead' person -- and we in the car saw people in their cars recoil in fright as he shuffled by, close to their car windows! Ha! - - I've traveled numerous times to the site north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA (Evans City) where a large portion of the movie was filmed, I've met and talked with many of the movie's crew and cast --  it's a great movie to me.

My avatar is a scene from the movie.
