    Fish.  They spawn like crazy because they know most of it will be used to feed other animals.

  • Bluefin tuna can produce 10 million eggs per year.  They only spawn once a year as well.  That's a pretty big litter!!

    Well, I don't know if it is the most accurate answer but the fact that a bug is in the mix makes it more valid.  I know the bugs can replicate like no tomorrow.

  • When did you get here!?  I wrote that they only spawn once a year. 
    How many litters do you think they have during a spawn?  My guess would be one.

    If eggs count, it has to be the tuna fish. If you're talking actual litters of live births, naked mole rats. Litters of 30 plus are not uncommon. Not all survive infancy, a mother mole rat doesn't have that many nipples.

    Now there is a tidbit of rat knowledge I never knew. 
    The thought of rolling a mole rat over and giving her a nipple count didn't cross my mind.  However, I would imagine if she did have that many nipples her body weight and length would be more like a wiener-dog than a mole rat.  This is good to know. ;)
