    OK will take your word for it.  But I would say that was just normal for a lot of people back then.  Except for the Starbucks which wasn't around then.

  • How about Roy Orbison?  He was a little later than Buddy, but a real hipster.

  • Roy, Buddy and others were pioneers in a sound known as "Rockabilly" that would influence the British Invasion of the sixties. Roy Orbison had a wonderful unique sound that helped define the late fifties and early sixties. Buddy was a prolific songwriter and we can only wonder how much work he might have turned out.
