I bought a new one off the floor, but it was actually last year's model in 2006.  Last time.   Only time.

This is it.  But it looks way more banged-up now.

  • I've never actually bought a new car. My most recent car purchase was last year. I bought a used 2017 car. So fairly new, but still not brand new.

    Hello Element99
I have never bought a new car. For years now, for daily use, I have been driving older Jeep grand Cherokee's, I like the the models from the late 90's. They are inexpensive, comfortable, very durable and easy to work on. I like the 4 wheel drive and need it, my driveway is not paved and can get very muddy with a lot of downed branches in the winter. It also is very good in the snow when I go to the mountains.
I also usually keep an older classic from the late 60's, early seventies, these I buy in a non working, needing restoration state and they usually take a very long time before I can actually drive them.
Aside from just not liking any new cars, cant think of any new car I would want, I cant stand the idea of going into debt for a car. There are things I like to do with my earnings, paying bills is not one of them, so I keep them to a minimum.
I do not buy new things, Most of what I have was bought used. I look for deals, I love going to thrift shops, estate and garage sales looking for the little treasures.
