Do you have Dairy Queen in your area? If so, what is your favourite to get there?

I’m really craving a peanut buster parfait, which is weird cos I’m not usually a big fan of chocolate or ice-cream. Maybe I’m pregnant.

  • We do, but I haven't been to one of those in decades.  I generally go to Fenton's, and get this, the Black and White.   This is the Large size. We always get the smaller size and share.

  • It's SO good, but like you, I am not big on ice cream. I have to really be craving it.   It happens maybe once or twice a year.

Hmm, Tuesday night looks like a good time to go out for ice cream!

I'm definitely going to get the large Choco Brownie Extreme Blizzard.  Yum!

  • Yes, we have Dairy Queens. My favorites are the strawberry sundae or the chocolate dipped cone. You just can't beat that soft serve ice cream.

  • There is one not far from where I live.  I haven't been there in years.  When we did go, I liked the blizzards.  I really prefer frozen yogurt now though.

We have two in the city, but they are far enough away that I would not go to either just for an ice cream...which I don't eat anyway.

I avoid all sweets. Sugar is evil. I use very little in cooking. I use a three pound bag in the summer to feed the hummingbirds.

    Reese Cup Blizzard, junior size

I have been one time since I moved here over four years ago.  I gave up sugar one year ago come February.  I may never grace the DQ again.  Thank goodness for Publix sugar free ice cream.  :) This post was edited by Thriftymaid at January 28, 2019 7:34 PM MST

  • I’ve never tried that one :)
I usually do the no refined sugar too. I cracked over the holidays with all the pies, Christmas baking and such. It‘s Amazing how the craving for sugar comes back once you start to have it again. I was planning stop in the new year again, but that didn’t workout. So maybe February then;)
