    I love this song. :) Never listened terribly close to the lyrics, even though they're sung very clearly by Stipe. 
    I like the music video a lot, too. And Stipe rarely has looked more hot to me. Ha.

    If you get a chance, listen again starting at the 2:28 spot --  " . . . a falling star . . . or a reading from Dr. Seuss . . ."
    - - and then Stipe has an ADORABLE GIGGLE!!!!!! as he sings "Only to wake her up."
    So fun to me!! It's my favorite part of the song.
