    If it's who I live with or close friends/family  ... I would ask where at the moment are they..inferring the name of the road  or landmark they are near......... 
    If it was a stranger and being a blonde klutz  ....I'd most likely ask the same ...:)D

    Since you know it's incorrect and makes you sound ignorant, maybe you'll leave the 'at' off.  Never end a sentence with a preposition.
