America is so multicultural it is likely we have many yucky dishes. I'm sure I eat things you would call yucky and vice versa. I like pickled herring; my wife won't go near them.

I LOVE pickles E. Years ago I would eat pickles for dessert after my dinner. Three or four. I am serious. I guess at that time my body lacked something only pickles provided. No I wasn't pregnant. I was past child-bearing age. My favorite pickles are those HALF-SOUR crispy ones you always find at Jewish Delicatessens/restaurants. There is a snap to them! A definite CRUNCH. I love pickled peppers, pickled jalapenos, Kimchee. You name it. If it's pickled (unless it's way hot or sweet) I will eat it and love it. Jim combines foods in odd ways. How does a peanut butter and pickle sandwich sound? He has eaten them more than once. I tasted it. Not bad but not my cuppa tea either.  Didn't Elvis like peanut butter banana and pickle sandwiches? That's not the kind of yucky to which I refer. I mean body parts of animals that are INSIDE them. Why does Chorizo require salivary glands to be an ingredient?. Thank you for your reply!  :) This post was edited by RosieG at March 22, 2019 7:26 AM MDT

I know what you said. I read it. Separate yuck entirely. Chorizo. WHY ARE SALIVARY GLANDS A NECESSARY INGREDIENT?  Sheesh.

Most foreigners thinks it's yucky. They're wrong. Every Australian is raised on it.

An American claims that somebody else talks funny.

    *Hysterical laughter*

I've heard of it on occasion and never with compliments except from those Who GREW UP ON IT R. I guess that's just the way it is with yuck. If it's your yuck it isn't yucky. I read that in the middle-east sheep's eyeballs are considered a delicacy. I don't know if that's apocryphal or true. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday to thy! :)
