Ok, I'll give him a pass. But I can't say I won't keep pawning his tildes. Those vegan strawberry donuts are expensive.

I don't get upset about tildes. I get upset about questions about tildes.

How many tildes does it take . . .

      If you were a tilde and I owned you . . .

      What's the longest time a tilde has ever  . . .

      Do tildes believe in . . .

If no two tildes are alike . . .

The sad part is you have asked those same questions at least ten times apiece.

There's absolutely nothing sad about that.

I speak fluent Spanish, which I learned the old-fashioned way. Almost a decade ago, the management at my workplace offered all interested employees free access to the Rosetta Stone online language-learning tool. We were encouraged to use it for perfecting our foreign-language abilities in job-related situations. The plan called for us to devote about 30 to 45 minutes every few days to logging on, the only caveat was that it had to be a company computer and we could only use it during work hours.
I thought it would be great, so I was one of the first applicants. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered it was nothing more than the same basic lists of banal vocab drills and rote intonations of simple sentences. YAAAAAAWN.  I thought that the flash cards, quizzes and tests would challenge me, but not even that worked for me.
I quickly grew bored with it and turned in my punk card and never looked back.  Alas, I was not the only one, because even those with little no foreign language under their belts found it useless.  After about a year, it was dropped completely.

(I am not saying Rosetta Stone is a bad product, only that it didn’t work in our situation.)

I've had kind of the same experience with online language programs and apps. Wanting to beef up my Spanish skills for my job, I ultimately had to hire a  private Spanish tutor. It was expensive, but worth it because it was tailored to my needs and I retained a lot of what I learned. The bonus was that my Spanish tutor was muy caliente!

    Sí sí, Randy.

Ahora es también la policía de ortografía.

You'd have to be in jail with a computer to manage that for the time it would take you.
