What’s the oldest pair of shoes or boots that you frequently wear AND have owned the longest amount of time?

I have a pair of boots that I have had since 1993. I wear them when I ride horses. They are a little worn but still very comfortable and keep my feet warm on long rides in the winter.

I have a pair of Timberland boots I bought back in 2000.  I now wear them five days a week as work boots.

What's the difference between "oldest" and "have owned the longest"?

      (Sigh.)
Just because a person owns an object does not automatically denote how old the object is. If I am the current owner of a pair of combat boots that were issued to my grandfather during his military service in WWII, decades before my birth, then the boots' age is about 70 years old. On the other hand, if I've only owned them since my grandfather passed away in 2010, and I have owned other footwear for a longer amount of time, I have not owned the boots the longest amount of time.

I only wear Birkenstock flip flops.  I bought four pair of them when I moved to Florida in 2014 and that's all I've worn.  I've traveled a bit and wore my Tretorn sneakers some but when I'm home all I wear are the flip flops.

  • A pair of army desert tan boots.  They are beat yo he'll but are so comfortable.  Had them about 8 years now.

  • I had a pair of red Vans that I wore through all four years of college. They became part of my trademark look. They finally started falling apart a couple years ago and I had to toss them out. I now don't have any pairs that are older than a couple years. I replaced almost my entire shoe collection.

I have no interesting boot story.  I just threw a pair of boots away this morning that I was in denial about.  I thought I could still wear them but they were too beat up.  I got them second- hand to begin with.   Grey suede.

My boots usually last me about 10 years because I don't wear them very often down here in the sweltering heat.  Just a few times here and there in the winter months.

The one in my avatar photo.....I have many pairs of different colours and three pairs exactly the same in black....I've had them thirteen years and they are all still very wearable.  :)
