    If we could fly we wouldn’t need cars. 

    Given the situation today, we’d be so busy pulling plastics out of the desalinator, a billion gallons might be an impossible goal.

    If you were doing it each and every day ,why wouldn't you....is it possible to alter the chemical compounds/ components of salt or is salt just salt...salt of :(

    What most people consider 'salt' is sodium chloride. The chemical definition is any compound that can be formed by the reaction of an acid and a base. Sodium chloride just happens to be the most prevalent in our seawater.
