Looking back to your childhood, do you now regret any rebelliousness that you showed toward your parent(s)? Any at all.

I was the original Rebel without a cause.  I defied everything my parents wanted me to be like.  I was called a defiant brat by my mother, but they spoiled me.  They gave me too much power as a child and they made me a brat.

Thank you for your answer.  Do you regret any of the rebelliousness you showed them?

  • None. Every child rebels.

Yes, but not every child rebels in equal measure to other children, Neelie.  Rolling one's eyes at a parent when he or she is speaking or stealing a parent's car and intentionally ramming it into a highway guardrail are vastly extreme examples.

  • Has that been your experience?

Yes, I was rebellious in certain ways when I was growing up, and I faced rebellion from by children when they were growing up. The stolen car incident happened to a man I knew; his 16-year-old son took their family car with the intent to travel three states away.

Yes. I'd say I regret at least half of it.

  • I was a very docile, non-rebellious kid. If anything, I should've been more rebellious.

  • I was never rebellious but that didn't stop them from treating me like shit

I didn’t have the stones to rebel as a kid when it would’ve been healthiest, it‘s seriously one of my biggest regrets
