My mom didn't work and my dad worked construction, so no, I never spent a day at my parents' workplace.

  • Not an entire day, but I do remember spending an hour or two at my dad's office. I mostly just played games on his second computer or drew pictures on the dry erase board in the conference room.

Yes, on numerous occasions.  Learned my way around a hardware store quite early.

So many times with my dad on building sites and in his work shop that I've lost count...
I still use his workshop when ever I want and if I'm not working I like to spend the day with him still making just about anything....:)

Only if Dad was working at home in the garage. He is mechanic. I have spend the day at his work as an adult.  He was working on my car.

  • Yes. I was 7 or 8 when my great grandmother died, and my mother had to attend the ceremonies in a village about 300 km from our home. She was away for three days, during which time my father and I had each other to ourselves. He took me to his college those days, ands I sat in the staff room or library, reading or making friends with his fellow teachers and other office staff. I grew particularly fond of the librarian, who gave me a bar of chocolate every morning. She is alive, about 90, and I run into her and her daughter occasionally at the supermarket.
