Being in a preferred income tax situation.
    Claiming homestead on multiple properties.
A friend and I went on two great free trips back when Timeshares were new and that was how they tried to sell them.  They only wanted married couples.
Obtaining employer health insurance for a spouse.
Avoiding passes from the opposite sex.

To avoid being hassled and propositioned for sex, but unfortunately that only works with decent types.

In Australia, to get a better pension in old age; in all else, married couples get more financial tax incentives and perks than singles.

    I call them pest strips.
I wear a wedding ring only on my left hand so it stands out.
When I was single, I also wore it.
There is a time and a place for sports sex when done correctly.
A ring is a way to look sexy and pretty and just let others know, there isn't a sale going on this merchandise.

No thanks is a lot cheaper and I don't have to deal with jewelry.

Easy to buy cheap fake wedding rings.

But I agree that "no thanks" is the cheapest of all pest repellents.

Other good repellants include picking one's nose, scratching one's groin, garlic reeking through the skin, fake acne, and old age.

Er, um, in order to qualify for military housing, the servicemember has to turn in paperwork verifying the identity of the family member and the legality of the relationship.

If your experience has been different than that, it may be an anomaly, a rarity, a unique situation, an error, a fluke, or reported incorrectly.
