How's this for A Hopeless Dilemma With No Solution?

The automatic hand dryer in the restroom was so damn loud that I desperately needed to plug my ears while using it

I feel your pain.  Target stores have the same kind of dryers - loud enough to pierce your eardrums but no matter how long your hands are under there, they're still wet.

    I'm not alone. Good.

I was in a restaurant restroom with this one.

    Thanks, SpunkySenior.

No, you aren't.  In fact, I don't even bother with the dryer now - I use the toilet paper to dry my hands.

Hey, I might do that, too.

Faster and more effective in the long run.  Of course, you could so what Element does and wipe them on your pants or jacket. :)

That works if you're wearing dark clothes. :)

I guess you got a couple of 'wet Willies'.

I just wipe my hands on my pants or jacket.

Hey, I am finding solutions to my dilemma. Thank you!
    :)

Wet willies might be more enjoyable. Ha!

I agree, those things are too loud!

The other issue I have with those vs. paper towels is that you have nothing to use to protect your freshly cleaned hands from one of the germiest things on the universe... the door handle!! Do you know how many people don't wash their hands after using the restroom??

    YUCK!

    Thanks.

To avoid the door handle, I just do this  - -

I know whenever possible I do not touch the door at all.  I will kick it or elbow it open.

Yeah, sometimes I've done that. Or use the back of my wrist. (If the handle moves up and down.)

I hate those as well. And when you have young kids trying to teach them good hygiene is hard because the noise scares them.

I hadn't thought of that. If I were a child and had my face/head near the machine (because of a child's height), that'd be difficult.

  • Shake out your hands a little and then run your fingers through your hair. It'll solve the hand drying problem and fix any of those stray hairs.

    The solutions just keep coming!

And I do do that with my hair anyway sometimes.

Ahhhhh!  I must learn to type faster or not read all the way down.
    That's what I do!
I have a twist you might like that may convince others to try what we do and why they should consider it a good thought to do, too.

    *Really poorly structured sentence. Sorry.*

I saw your response and then saw Merlin's answer and I forgot to add this gif for you, too; I had meant to put it here, too.
