You absolutely feel BLISSED OUT afterward.  You don't feel 20 years younger.  You feel lighter than air and relaxed.  So, close enough.

I have met about 50 men massage therapists.  About half were gay.  The other are married and could care less about hitting on women.  The gay ones are professional and I never hear anyone talking about bodies in any manner that is questionable.  No one CARES.  LOL We think like anyone in the health profession.  We just don't even think about that stuff.

That touching another person's body/bare skin is icky.

That touching another person's body/bare skin is wonderful.

That only adults should receive massages.

    That it's a cure-all.

That it can replace other options of medical attention.

That only professional therapists should do it, instead of learning how to do it well and performing it for your loved ones.

That it can or cannot be done immediately after strenuous exercise, such as a game, a marathon, etc.

That only people who are in great physical shape should get them.

That people who are in great physical shape don't need them.

That it's okay to get one when you are sweaty, dirty, smelly, stinking, etc.

    That it's too expensive.

That the entire fee goes to the therapist, so no tip is necessary.

That its practitioners can get filthy rich from doing it.

    That it's an easy job.

That every client wants those smelly menthol-based products used on them.

That every client enjoys the music played there.

That only women should do it as a profession.

That if a client wants/expects/received/accepts a massage from someone of the same gender, one or both of them must be gay.

That the more attractive the therapist is, the better the massage will be.

That many or most men are seeking sexual contact when going for a massage.

That it's always automatically associated with illicit sexual contact and/or sexual conduct.

That if the client feels some level of arousal, the therapist did something intentionally to cause it.

That if the therapist is attractive, he/she want sexual contact, and won't mind suggestions of that nature.

That it's not a real profession.

That almost anyone can do it well.

That it should be capitalized in your question. WRONG!

P.S. I simply love this question!  Maybe you should do an entire series of common misconception questions!

    Hey, wait . . .

Randy, this was excellent and I just answered most of them for you and STUPID ANSWERMUG TOLD ME I BROKE THE MUG AND ERASED IT.

I need to take a breath before I attempt that one again.  This is reminding me of Answer Bag this week.   This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at July 7, 2019 1:41 PM MDT
