Why do cat people try and pretend that their entire house doesn't smell like stale urine?

I don't care how much you claim to cya he the litter box every day.  The fact remains cat houses always stink to high he'll with a very distinct piss like odor.

    People become "Nose-Blind" to cat piss which is almost as foul as skunk piss. 
    The stench clings to their clothing and hair, too so it doesn't matter if they are home or not...

    No. That just is NOT the case.  Sorry.

    I know plenty of people who have cats and litterboxes in their houses and the houses NEVER smell.

    I don't know who you hang around with, but they need a maid service or something.  And better litter.

    I have a very sensitive nose.  I remember smells forever.  I never would even sit in a house that smelled like that.  UGH.
