You are precisely right. When I saw that pic it just made me smile. Seems silly I know but I just wanted to share it. Sharing a soda with you Merlin, would be magical, like sharing time with you here is a gift. May every lucky star in the sky twinkle brightly for you.
That picture is sweet. There is no nefarious intent. It's simple and beautiful in its portrayal of innocence and friendship.
The composition of the photo strikes me as being delightfully peculiar. It has a vintage-retro Americana feel with distinctive Gallic twist. It's imagery such as this that made me want to take up photography. I like this very much

Most people only give an emotional response to how the picture makes them feel or possibly what it makes them think of, which is very important. I love however, that you lent the work your keen eye for photography and gave it a simple technical critique.
You are such a wonderful photographer in your own right and you impress me every minute of every day with your love of artistic mediums. Photography, cinema, music, literature, and the culinary arts are just a few. By the time we pile on your knowledge of politics, history, information technology/computer science, along with a sprinkling of theology, it really leaves me overwhelmed and in awe of you.
The only thing I've been privileged to discover greater than your intellect, is your endless capacity to love and I am so blessed to be on the receiving end of your beautiful heart's passion.
I've grown fond of you. LOL! Mwah! The Twinkle In Your Eye.
I'd love to see a portrait in cinema of the relationship between Twinkle and Goatsey - with Twinkle as writer, Goatsey as cameraman, and both as co-directors. It would include the goat farm, the goats as characters, the lifestyle and the local surroundings. I reckon you two could teach the rest of the world a few things about the art of loving.
I'm pretty certain that Gris and Goatsey have an inside joke about Goatsey's name, and rest assured you don't want to know what it is. Suffice it to say, boys will be boys no matter their age and usually their jokes are crude. LOL! So, sometimes it may be best to remain blissfully unaware. Trust me on this one.

I'm speechless. I didn't quite expect you to woo the guy you have grown "fond of" with such words. You know I kida like you too. lol
But regardless of that, I am blushing. Thank you for bestowing such praise upon me. I don't often feel as you I am deserving because I am just a humble dude.
You however are the artiste who richly paints your view of life, God and the world with your words. I was brought to the river, baptised by your love
*muah*

The funnest thing is that you did share your love of friendship with us... And that is what makes you twinkle and dance and and shed fun and light on every thing you encounter. That gives a whole new meaning to silly, hu? Love ya tons! ;) :)
I enjoy it - the aesthetics, the slight sepia in the black and white, the crisp focus - the background with framed grids of headshots, that sense of phots within photos.
I notice the dynamic between the kids. She's more intent on him; he's more intent on the milkshake. They seem very relaxed and at ease with each other - probably are. Even though kids at that age are already learning how to be good actors, they're still not masterly enough to really fake it.
But that dark tone on the girl's and boy's lips suggests lipstick to me. And then when I look at the way they're dressed, I realise it's no coincidence. This shot has been planned by the photographer and he or she has won the kids' willing cooperation.
You have a very observant eye bookworm, able to shift from assessing people and surroundings with your mind to easily doing so with your heart; both of which are whip-smart and beautiful.
Were you some sort of wunderkind in your youth? Born brilliant. Or did you chase words on the wind as you ran through life snatching them up along the way and learning how to piece them together? I say you are truly an artist having been bestowed the gift of alluring articulation proudly displayed through writing. Whilst I, a simple novice in his craft, naively stitch together carefully chosen 10 dollar words, and dare to call myself a scribe. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these children and their moment captured. Thanks for sharing your thoughts throughout this online niche known as answerMug. I too believe the photo to be finely orchestrated as opposed to being candid. No less lovely though. Sometimes beauty blooms on its own, other times it requires our cultivation of it. I believe that if each person looked at life as though through the lens of a camera Studied each moment and truly learned from it working not with exhaustion but rather with exuberance to arrange something wonderful, something glorious, Then both life and this world, could be as a photograph in which to be proud. Thank you bookworm for continually inspiring me.
