  • That it has no nutritional value.

    The body flushes out any excess vitamins and minerals that it can't use.  This is why its said that if you're taking a lot of vitamins, you're just making expensive urine.

    So, it seems to me it could serve as a nutritional supplement, or even a sports drink.
