They had to move it up as it was interfering with Christmas.

I thought it was because they had early winter weather one year and it ruined everything.

This is so sadly true.  Pretty soon we are going to be celebrating ALL holidays in January!  I can see it now.
The Easter bunny in a Halloween costume eating Turkey and cranberry sauce with pumpkin pie and be thankful,  and a snickers bar for all the Halloween candy he didn't have room for.  Just a measly snickers bar.
He'll need it to find the eggs in the easter egg hunt which he will have to do while switching out of his Halloween custom and into a bikini for spring break celebrations.  In the meantime, he needs to remember to light the candles for Hanukkah and make potato pancakes for passover.  He might need a nap after he grabs a glass of champagne to drink at the stroke of midnight and another little bunny to kiss for Valentine's Day. WOW!  January could be a fun month after all! :) :) This post was edited by Merlin at September 30, 2019 12:03 PM MDT

    A male bunny in a bikini?  I hope it's not a mankini.

Will the Easter bunny dye his hair (hare?) green (St. Patrick's day)?
Which day does the easter bunny divorce santa claus (Independence day)?
Will the Great Pumpkin dye himself blue and brown (Earth day)?
Forget egg hunts, the Easter Bunny is going to have to start selling them (Black Friday) to help pay for his therapy.

  • I’ve never been to one lol. So I shouldn’t knock it. I just think it’s all beer and that’s not my drink.

Any reason to drink with yourself, your friends, your family, the dog, the cat, the horse, your newly found friends, with your clothes, without your clothes, your fish, does it really matter if it's October?  Of course not!!  Beer and sausages or only part of it for some.  Any month will do!  The beer is only for a chaser!..........
"SHOTS!!!"  The sausage only for those who need practice!  "SKIP the Brats!  My husband has one of those at home. No practice needed here!  "SHOTS!"
Any month is a reason to have a festival, my dear friend!
    Big Winks and Smiles!
    "SHOTS!"

Provided that it's GERMAN beer, then who cares what time it is? German brews are mostly very good, they take it seriously and even have a law about it - das Rheinheitsgebot.

Yes, very true! (Well, I knew nothing about the law until I just looked it up - - I meant I've always assumed German beers were good.)
    :)

Just the dates made me smile.

Huge Smiles and Hugs Bachattcha!! :) :)

If we were on the road, we would stick together.  This way, if we got lost, at least we would do it and be lost together!
Maybe even stop and have a German beer at an Octoberfest along the way!!
Big Giggles!! :) :) This post was edited by Merlin at September 30, 2019 9:06 AM MDT

  • There is a local high school here that had a sign outside advertising their Fall Festival that was to take place on September 14th. We live in an age where everyone feels the need to get a jump on the season. I'm already hiding Easter eggs.

Too funny.  The marketing for known holidays seem to be getting worse and worse.  I was in Lowe's a few days ago and Christmas has already pushed Halloween out... which hasn't even happened yet.  Forget about Thanksgiving.  It never had a chance! ;) :)
