This is why I don't celebrate Thanksgiving.  I eat raw.  No meat.  Fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds only and I drink Rejuvalac and Water.

What a blast I am to have around.  Well, I am if I can find raw foodists to prepare recipes with.  Till then, I am happy, healthy and not sick from Turkey and mashed cooked potatoes. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at October 19, 2019 12:19 PM MDT

Don't eat peach seeds. Quite poisonous. Make sure you peel your potatoes before you eat them raw.

    Fruitcake.
Good for a doorstop, or tire chocks.

    Bad for food.

This one has RUM in it.  Maybe that is the only saving ingredient. WHO EATS THIS?  WHO????

    Red Truck Bakery Fruitcake, Virginia

    Red Truck Bakery Havana Fruitcake
    Havana Rum-Soaked Fruitcake

Only available to be shipped in December, Red Truck Bakery’s Havana Fruitcake is approximately 3+ lbs. and is filled with pineapple, almonds, pecans, raisins, coconut and spices and is soaked for months in dark rum. Note, this is the only fruitcake we tasted that had a pronounced taste of alcohol, rum in this case, and it was very good. The secret to the fruit cake according to Virginia Living Magazine is the Cuban fruitcake uses a light hand on the spices and gives the cake enough time to age in rum. And no colored or candied fruit—this is the real deal! $47.00 for a 3lb fruitcake. Order fruitcake online directly from Red Truck Bakery Monday – Thursday.

I have now found the next destination for the fruitcake that has been traveling in our family, posing as a gift,  for the last ten 10 years.
    MWAHHHHHH....

I love most traditional holiday foods. Mince and pumpkin are my two favorite kinds of pie.

Why eat curry when you have a perfectly good WC to dispose of things like that efficiently so it don't stink up your body....:(

    Probably.
I don't celebrate the standard public holidays.
I tend to avoid most sweets and any prepackaged foods.

But for Pesach, I make charoset - and wholemeal matzah balls in a vegetarian broth.
Ari enjoys it because it reminds him of his roots and family celebrations when he was a boy.
