If you put the batteries in a flashlight in backwards, will it produce dark energy?

In other words, will you have a flashdark?

    It has been proven that putting the batteries in a flashlight backwards and then turning it on actually makes things darker.  Therefore it must produce dark matter (as well as a plethora of 4-letter words).

    No, no, no.
    It tries to shine light out the other end, which is closed - so you don't see it.
    It creates a flashback.
