Would like to listen to everything everyone posted (looked through all the answers quickly and enjoyed looking at everyone's answers) -- but allowing my schedule to overwhelm, though - - 




anyway, since a very young boy, my favorite is 

"Sleigh Ride"  by Leroy Anderson  (and only this specific recording, the one I grew up on, with him and his orchestra)

what exhilarating joy!




and Anderson, from what I read, never intended his composition to be a Christmas holiday piece; he intended to simply portray a 'sleigh ride'

I much prefer his original instrumental version, not the song version with later-added song lyrics
