No.  The only thing I don't always put on a plate is beets.  Sometimes I open a can of sliced beets and get a fork and eat them right out of the can.  Not often, but my daughter and I used to do it at night sometimes...open a can, drain, and each of us get a fork.  We loved them.  I still eat them regularly....usually with a little vinegar sprinkled on them.  I grew up in a house where I saw my grandfather eat right out of the ice cream carton and it grossed me out.  I just never have picked up such habits. • Oh, I like red beets, too, unpickled or pickled. I take food out of the can to use up the next day, because I do not trust the chemicals of the inner can in connection to be exposed to the oxygen suddenly. otherwise I do not mind eaten out of a can or glass, especially now, being alone.

I know it is such a big change.  People say time heals.  It doesn't.  It just gives you an opportunity to figure out how to live in your new world.  Very tough.  I think of you each day, my friend.

Nope.  It's what I eat out of the garbage that is interesting.

I didn't think about nut butter.  I do get a spoonful sometimes, but never use the same spoon for a second spoonful.

How about Smelts and Smelts? One of the things I miss from the Ontario  area is scoping up buckets full of Smelts when they were spanning. Cheers!

I wouldn't eat them from the bucket. Mom use to fry them up when in season. I have never cooked them. I am terrible at frying food, and I would be the only one who would eat them, anyway.

I don't anymore - but like every other kid in Australia, I did as a toddler.

  • Mayonnaise just shouldn't be eaten at all. That video makes me want to throw up.

But no condiment should be eaten from the jar. Pickles from the jar are okay though.
