To lighten the load Delta Airlines DUMPED FUEL OVER MULTIPLE SCHOOLS prior to landing. SO WHAT?

So what? Whaddya think? The wanton braindead promiscuous dumping endangered dozens of children and adults. They were approaching LAX. WHY NOT DUMP OVER THE OCEAN?

So now what? Wait and see what exposure to fuel does? How long will THAT take? Stupid dumbs surround us. On land in the air in the oceans. A world of stupid dumbs. What chance do we have to survive them?

When I first heard this I said, here comes a lawsuit.

Although dumping fuel is standard procedure in case of an emergency, some guidelines are put in place on how to dump the fuel for safety reasons.  With more and more houses, schools and places of work being built around airports, these procedures need to be rethought.  Odds are high that any lawsuit stemming from this incident will be negated by the fact that they followed procedure (just not to the letter).

We know what exposure to fuel does.  You can read some of them on every gas pump in this state.

BTW, dumping fuel in the ocean is also hazardous.  People think that because of its size it simply dilutes the fuel.  Maybe so, but the fuel don't simply "go away".  It harms/kills marine life which are necessary for life to continue on this planet.

True. But there were multiple schools with tons of children in the flight where they CHOSE TO DUMP. Where is a "SAFE" place to dump fuel and why isn't that a "problem" that hasn't been fixed long ago? If it is "standard" procedure to dump fuel  in an emergency what "emergency" occurred THIS TIME? If it is "STANDARD" then it happens a lot. Why? Something stinks. Thank you for your reply Shuhak and Happy Sunday! :)

They're supposed to dump at a higher altitude (above 5k) in order to allow the fuel to disperse.  They didn't.  They even told the tower several times that they were NOT going to do a fuel dump.  While they followed the procedure of dumping fuel before landing (to prevent an unbalanced landing), they did not follow the procedure on how and where to dump it.

Wouldn't that be the most important part that they didn't do? Addlepated wackadoodles or drunk as skunks or high on drugs? Makes you wonder exactly what is at the controls of all those planes way up high in the sky? Thank you for your reply Shuhak! :)
