I don't think there are very many Brits on here. Closest may be the handful of Canadians and Aussies.

But culturally they are miles apart. I thought you were saying that there may not be very many British people here, but there are Aussies and Canadians, which are close enough. Which they’re not, not really :)
Australians, certainly. I would need to consult with a Canadian though regarding their actual closeness, other than loosely under the thing called the Commonwealth. Do Canadians feel closer to the British than Americans? I don’t know.
Well, considering how our illustrious president has so poorly treated our allies, I would think the Canadians are getting closer to the Brits than to us. :)
Other than the thing that our British Trump with a posh accent, ie Mr Boris Johnson, is hankering for regarding trade agreements, I’m not sure the Canadians are going to be buddying up anytime soon, unless we force them because we don’t have any friends anymore. Except Mr Trump. Apparently.
Your Mr. Johnson and our Mr. Trump seem to have at least one thing in common - neither of them know a good barber. For the first time in my 74 years, I am worried about my country following the Roman Empire. I can only hope that the next election here brings up a more "stable genius" than the one we have presently.

Well after I looked up coiffed I added a ill to it and thought yep that's Trump. I also think he is ill fashionable he's suites look cheep and they clash with his orange face. Cheers!
LOL ... considering his "wealth," his suits look they were bought at Goodwill. His tie, besides being far too long (perhaps to hide his paunch) is frequently askew. I don't know how Melania can even go out in public with him, let alone be in private with him. Then again, I'm not some soft porn actress from Upper Slobovia.

I most certainly am. But hey! he’s a character. Knows bugger all about proper governance or how to run a metropolitan transport system but he’s the man for the jobl he’s going to get things done. That’s all that matters.
Because they were controlled by Royalty and more Religion for countless centuries.....if you didn't believe in either one your were tortured to death to make you understand and see reason... This system today still is the best way for a hand full of the rich to control the masses of stupid people that follow blindly some imaginary thing that's never ever been seen or not heard....
I don’t know what part of the country you’re from, but when you hear the working classes from the northeast and the Black Country saying that a privileged, elitist Etonian is more able to represent them than the Labour Party - a prime minister who represents a government that has imposed a decade of austerity on them - I finally realise that I’m so disconnected from any kind of understanding of who the national psyche actually works. Oh and blame the EU, then call the result of the referendum a protest vote against the indigenous government!
