I just saw a TV commercial* touting how well the iPhone brand cares about and protects privacy.

Do you believe that to be the truth, or is it iPhone’s version of alternate truth?

*The commercial was produced by the T-Mobile company.

Wrong again.  I purposefully wrote iPhone as opposed to Apple for two reasons: 1) the commercial specifically stated iPhone, it did not state Apple, and 2) the larger debate about privacy focuses on Google and Apple, which brings out the subterfuge of the commercial by their use of the name iPhone instead of Google or Apple.

Sorry, but I disagree. Everybody knows that Apple is the maker of the iPhone. The producer of that commercial choosing not to identify Apple does nothing to change that basic fact.

You’re trying to rewrite not only the commercial but also how I reiterate what what it said. In it, they may have meant Apple yet sneakily stated iPhone, which is the exact point of my post.

OK, you win. (Did I really just say that?) But you still get a lower-case grrrr. Less emphatic, of course, than Grrrr, which can be escalated to GRRRR in extreme circumstances.

They are kinda hard to hack, hence the uproar when Apple refused to provide the Australian Government with a "backdoor". Such doesn't exist, but the Home Affairs Minister, Mr Potato aka Gruppenführer Dutton, thinks that Australian citizens don't deserve privacy.

Interesting, T-mobile not Apple promoting the Iphone.  I do not know - I know they are hard to hack, if not impossible.  If that is protecting my privacy OK
