Nice attempt at reverse psychology by naming those roads as if you think that I think that you think that I would think that I’d fall for it, when you’re actually coming in on a completely different route. But that’s fine, because I have satellite-based detection equipment that picks up even the slightest avocado Vegemite or mayonnaise shipments that are getting close to me. One step ahead of you, queenpin of all time.
By the way, it’s well known by a majority of law enforcement agencies that you in particular are most likely to use side roads, secondary roads, tertiary roads, dirt roads, bike paths, hiking trails, dead end roads, closed roads, logging roads, military service roads, etc. They keep me in the loop whenever you’re closing in on me.       The theft of the catalytic converter at the end, however, absolutely floored me! Grrrrrrrrrrr. Thieves will take advantage of even the slightest opportunity, won’t they? What lowlifes. Did you then file a separate claim due to the theft?  Your saving grace in the entire story was your reading through the policy to verify exactly what coverage it offered (especially if you found it in the fine print), and holding the insurance company to its accountability for it. Great job standing your ground.

Oh, by the way on the bicyclist law issue, had I not read about it here based on your post, I would have been completely unaware that it exists, as I am sure many other drivers must be unaware. Not having ridden a bicycle at all in over two decades now, I am detached from much that there is going on about them. I see dangers in regard to bicyclists making moves in traffic that catch drivers by surprise, especially since there’s an inherent sense of owning the road when many people get behind a steering wheel.
California being the epitome of ingrained car culture, I don’t know if this is one of the states you mentioned as having adopted a law such as this one, but I agree with you and others that it doesn’t seem to be a well planned change.&nbs...    less

This question was inspired when I just watched the video for a favorite song of mine and was surprised that the outdoor scenes were filmed right here in San Diego. The Botanical Gardens at San Diego’s Balboa Park, La Jolla Cove Beach Park, downtown theater/restaurant row, etc are some of the most notable areas in the video.

      “Try Again” by Champaign, 1983.

I don’t know if I have seen this particular video before or not, I was overseas when the song was released and I was not watching a lot of videos back then anyway. There’s also the possibility that more than one version of the video exists, others may have been filmed in different locations.

    Posted March 3, 2017

A brief overview: Uber, a U.S.-based online-accessed public transportation service, matches its drivers with potential customers who need rides, and the two parties rate each other to achieve probability of future use.  A majority of the drivers use their own private vehicles, while a small number of them lease vehicles from the company.

*The company's name is spelled without an umlaut because it was founded in the United States, a country where alphabet of the dominant language (English) does not feature umlauts.

    A. I, just like you, Randy D, have never been a customer of Uber.

    B. I've only used their service once or twice, or only for receiving deliveries, but never as a passenger.

    C. I'm disqualified from answering because I use their service all the time.

    D. Why can't you save me 15% on my auto insurance, Randall D?  Answer me that, you cad.

    E.  I can't take time to answer right now; I'm busy creating an Uber account on my phone.

    F.  I've never even heard of that company or its service before.

    G. Two or more of the above, namely, _____________________________.

    H. None of the above/other answer, namely, _____________________________.
