Malizz I try the across in numerical order; once clue solved I try to use the letters found starting form the earliest, but priority given to clues where all the letters have been found. If I can't use any of letters in the last solved clue, I go back to previous solved clue. If I can't use any of the letters in the solved clues, it's back to the untried clues where I left off, firstly across in numerical order then down.
None of the above. I remove them from the newspaper and throw them in the fireplace.
