Show me, then shut up and leave me alone (if I have any questions, I'll ask).

Show-me sessions are labs. field assignments,  or workshops.  This question specifically asked about "classroom settings."

Teacher could be  showing how to do a problem on the chalk/dry erase board.

My personal way of learning in school is best described as using all senses.    I read the material, I listen to the lecture, I take notes, and in some classes I always transcribed my notes.  For very difficult material I often read aloud at home.

Let’s just do this the easy way.  Hmm, should I have you download English, history, math or science first?

The instructor talking about something that interests me while I take notes.

(An interesting accent and him being attractive-to-me doesn't hurt either.)

One-on-one communications. (Come on, why would you even give me an opening line like that, you know I’m going to use it!)

Listening to the teacher and taking notes.

Teacher must stay on topic. If someone asks a question just give the answer and not walk the questioner through to the answer....I will have quit listening before they get to the answer.
