If I were to lock you in the dungeon and make you homework challenges, which subject would torture you the most?

Maybe there should have been a safe word for my last challenge.

Lock me in a dungeon?  I strongly  advise against that, my only focus would be escape, if I had to fiercely dismantle the place brick by brick, I would do it.  Just the thought makes my hair stand on end.

I’ll put you down for engineering and architecture.

Thank you.  This reply along with a reply from Martina on another question just inspired a new question which you probably won’t want to answer, lol.

…and speaking of math and numbers, this is my 5000th post!  Yay! This post was edited by Livvie at March 7, 2023 5:02 PM MST

14th century Polish literature...or any literature. Would I get all of the usual fun treatment in the dungeon?

If you didn’t get your homework challenge from another question on here done on time, don’t feel bad.  I’ve done worse.

One time Jaimie asked a question about our school lunchboxes so I went to the closet to dig out my lunchbox.  I found a late work notice for a literature report from 8th grade that I hid in my thermos.  My parents were supposed to sign that late work notice, lol.  I don’t even remember being assigned that report.

I think the teacher assigned it while just about the entire class was at home and sick with something.  He was a jerk like that.

You can start by cleaning up the dungeon.  The real torture is that community service requirements for graduation weren’t a thing until people in our age group started school.   Ugh.  Who decided that?

If you have to check my chemistry, I think you'll be the tortured one.

Here, I have some chemical equations for you to balance.  While you’re suffering with those, I’ll be torturing Element 99 by making him watch you do it.

As I was writing it, I worried about disappointing you especially. I think I'm not being too aloof if I say my two chemistry teachers failed to make the subject interesting (even though it certainly should be). I expected to learn about the materials that make up the world, about what greenhouse gases are, what matter humans are made of and why... Instead, they just made us draw lines between letters.

That's complex organic chemistry. Alchemy and wizardry. I taught the basics.

I loved chemistry class.  The best part of chemistry class was testing the emergency shower.

I’ll just keep you in the dungeon so you can study the biology that’s growing by the leaky faucet.  I want a full report on it.  Hey, you look thirsty.  Would you like a glass of water? This post was edited by Livvie at March 7, 2023 5:03 PM MST
