If your loved one or a close friend lives far from you, do you ever go online to check the weather conditions where he or she lives?

  • Yes, I do that! Also one of my best friends in South Dakota recently called and asked if I was OK after Oroville dam crashed and all those people were evacuated. But I'm quite a bit South of there, so I'm fine. But yes,I do check on the weather where my family and friends live.

I use the National Weather service's NOAA weather radar views for the area I need to check.

Do you use it to frequently check the weather in the place where a loved one or close friend is located?

  • I do that too.  I don't know why though.

  • "Yes, I do that regularly."  I even have it bookmarked. The weather, where she lives, can be severe at times (tornadoes), so I check.

  • Occasionally. I have a few friends who live in Boston and I'm sometimes curious about the weather there.

My brother and son live in the Seattle area and got clobbered, but I saw it on the news, not online.

Yup.  I have the weather for where my Ma lives programmed on my phone, a simple swipe takes me from mine to hers.  She lives alone and is in the middle of the forest on a "road" that doesn't get plowed unless she pays someone to plow it.  The area is also prone to fires.  The last one was very close, just a few feet from her property, and burned several thousand acres.  So yes, I keep an eye on the weather there.

Thank you, my friend. That's the exact type of thing I had in mind.
