Are more bobcats encroaching on us due to misuse of their domain?

Bobcats have been known to attack people while they’re trying to hunt small prey or when they feel threatened by a bigger animal. The most common way that bobcats attack humans is by pouncing on them from behind. Bobcats have been known to attack in the middle of the day while people are out and about in their gardens or playing with their children.

    Small children and domestic pets could be viewed as bobcat prey. Here's hoping parents are diligent! 

    Overall, my sentiment is 'go bobcats'!

    We have cougars here and they do seem to be getting more aggressive. A couple of years ago a cougar tried to drag a kid away and there were 2 dogs around. 20 years ago stuff like that never happened but their food supplies are dwindling (thanks to humans) so they are getting hungry and desperate.
