So right you are....you know Di we take everything for granted and make a big hue and cry over little things but it is people like in the picture you uploaded that face real hard lessons of life!

  • Yes.. Too innocent to realise there's a problem so they just get on with it... Not a bad attitude

It's great she can do that at her age, but she'd never be able to beat Tyson Fury.

  • Righty1, Tyson Fury is a magnificent athlete, the beautiful potential of the human body.

He was, Virginia. But since his early retirement from boxing he's eaten his way to obesity. He promises a comeback, says it's highly likely, but he's got a helluva lot of work to do to get back to where he was.

  • I just looked him up...he is only 28...still for most boxers, wouldn't that prolly be kinda late, anyway..?.

But the video you posted? The beautiful fluidity of his movements reminded me of Muhammad Ali, at least for a moment.

Competitively, there's more losers in boxing than winners. Only a few % will make it to world level, so most fighters (the losing ones) will have a short career, and in that respect, 28-years-old, is an average age to retire. But for fighters like Fury, who are undefeated champions, keep going for a lot longer than that, up to their mid- late 30's, usually. So its disappointing he chose retirement. He plans to do a comeback, but maybe because he misses the money.

He does have a lot of similarities to Ali, yes. You're right about that. He's a joy to watch. :)

  • Mid to late thirties! Amazing...I am guessing the pure talent and experience and skill must compensate then, so long after the physical prime...
Truly a joy to watch, yes, he's like poetry or any artist.

  • Veena.K, I loved that video...yes, she is very inspirational.

Once when I was camping I read a book of the biographies of nonagenarians...some of those I have never forgotten. From that I went on to another book I learned so much from; two sisters, African-American and the children of freed slaves. They reported on so much history first hand, for example Jim Crow segregation came in when one of them was six. I also learned about the Harlem Renaissance, and went on to read more.

The sisters chose to remain single and pursue professional careers, one a dentist and one and educator.

Yes, very, very ... I'd love to be able to even reach that age but if I could still be fit, healthy and happy then that has to be inspirational.
