Nah! I'm black and wouldn't feel safe there.

Sure, if it's Memphis Egypt, my honey will have to come with us however.   This post was edited by . at September 22, 2023 4:28 PM MDT

(Missing the comma between the name of the city and the name of the country.)

You know the word is “rats”, not “drats”, correct?

Hmmmmm. Would that be a stopover on my way to Minneapolis from San Diego, or a stopover on my way back to San Diego from Minneapolis?

Would I be walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale?

I'll be that boy in the bubble with you.  [The song I preferred, especially the accordion part at the beginning. Though I like so much of his (and Art's) music.]

And I'll wear diamonds on the soles of my shoes, not hers.  :)       (Another one I really like)

Funny story - I had the Graceland album playing while studying for my senior year exams, to mask the inevitable noise that happens when you have six younger siblings. My mother came into the room I shared with two brothers, carrying a basketful of laundry, and commented that she liked the music, in sharp contrast to most of the stuff I listened to.
I asked, "Do you recognise the voice? It's Paul Simon."
    Blank look. "Paul who?"
Cue the teenage eye roll. "Seriously, Mum? He co-wrote I Wish You Could Be Here with Bruce Woodley. Half of Simon and Garfunkel."
"Oh, THAT Simon. Good heavens, is he still popular?"
