Is this a Michigan accent? www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0848bll


The guy's also lived in Colorado, New York, and knows some other languages.
I find it quite soothing.

    I can catch some words that are very clearly said with a mid-northern accent, but I wouldn't have pinpointed Michigan on my own if you hadn't said it. His isn't consistent either. It sounds like he lost part of it.

    No.  It's no accent which is what you find in Ohio.  Ohio is my guess.  Michigan has the midwest accent.
