Would you volunteer to allow anybody on the site to ask you any questions they wanted, for an hour?

If there was a board, here on AM, by which if you wrote your name on it, you would be volunteering for an everything goes interview.
Anybody could ask you anything.
Would you be courageous enough to do it?

For a whole hour.

Or a movie. Would you have your life play in a big screen for all to.see?

  • I would, the problem is that I'm an extremely boring person

  • I doubt that, I think we all have an interesting story. Thanks DWF.

Interesting idea. I considered creating an "Ask Me Anything" group along similar lines, where people could start a discussion saying "I'm in" and then anyone could post a question on that discussion in the field traditionally reserved for answers. I wasn't sure how much interest something like that would gain.

As for me... eh. I don't see why not. There are some things I wouldn't discuss, like if people wanted to know info that would identify me or my family, I wouldn't give it. TBH, I don't really like to be the center of attention though. It's not something I'd nominate myself for or schedule... If others were doing it and it was just another "thing" it would be ok, but  wouldn't want it to seem like an event. Listening to me talk about my cats and kids for an hour isn't going to be a whole lot of fun anyway. lol

  • Im quite sure the questions wouldn't be about your cats. I think yours would be the most attended to "event". Thanks JA.

Sure.  Questions do not intimidate me.  I answer if I choose to do so.

  • If you're going to.choose which ones to answer, then the answer would be no. No?

Negative.  Your question is about allowing people to ask me questions.  It does not stipulate that I must answer the questions.

  • True, very true.
But come on now, you know what I meant.
So, would you do it, WITH the condition that you commit to answer truthfully?
    Of would u be afraid?

  • The thought of 60 minutes answering why i won't used either clean or used trash bags as an item of apparel does fill me with a certain loathing ... maybe the jury will decide it was self defence ...who knows

Oh, he is here. Made a few questions the other day, if we know any celebrities or if we were members of a fan forum. The usual stuff. Hey, I saw Mario briefly here too. Do you expect him to come ask about his eye color and his height again, like the old days on EP?

It's a no in your definition.

Anyone can ask me anything within decency, but I will always keep my right to say if I'm not comfortable answering a specific question. I see no need to be on some sort of clock thing for an hour. It would be too much attention to my person, and more than I'd feel good about.

We would need to set the hour around my work schedule.  Otherwise, I don't see why not.  People have a natural curiosity about others. That curiosity heightens when they hide behind computer screens and peculiar names.  I think people will be more interested in challenging themselves to see if they can a) embarrass the person they are asking or b) Ask the most outrageously odd question.  Maybe it's a little of both.  I don't think the person asking is really that interested in the answer.  If the "open question hour"  comes about, Sure!  Bring It On!! • There you go!
Many people put forth conditions. Yes but not like this, or yeah but not like that. What if they ask this or that, that's the point. Few say "bring it on".
    Thanks Merlin.
