Geez Louise puhleez! Years ago Kobe Bryant was accused of RAPING a girl who worked in a hotel. There was a HUGE TRIAL. Kobe said it was consensual. But later on he made a SETTLEMENT to make it go away. He bought his wife Vanessa a $3 million dollar diamond ring to stay with him. As I recall reading about it in real time. At the joint news conference she sat by him, said nothing, stonyfaced and quiet. He bought her presence with that ring.
Fast forward years later. He straightened himself out and became a remarkably GOOD and DECENT man. Maybe becoming the father of 4 girls caused it. A sterling citizen beloved no longer just for his extraordinary talent on a basketball court but for what he was contributing to the WNBA and his community. His daughter Gigi (who also died) at age 13 wanted to be "the next Kobe". Fine. Tragedy struck and others died with them. A great loss to all of us but none more so than his wife and remaining 3 daughters.
Now to the point of this question. Gayle King who is considered to be a journalist was interviewing someone. I did not see it. She brought up the rape in whatever context during the interview. I think her timing could have been better. We are not supposed to speak ill of the dead. But she asked it. She did not lie or invent anything. So now it seems her life and the lives of her children are being threatened. So bad it is they now have protection. Apparently a dog named snoop threatened them and all the braindead bandwagoners jumped aboard that bandwagon.
I will give you that she would have been better served to withhold that question till another time because it was so new a tragedy. But I don't think she meant to be cruel or mean or unkind. She asked a question and for this she and her family are now targets for more weaponized fanatics? Seriously folks don't you think that is very crackpot wackadoodle INSANE? You can't even ask a question without being in fear for your life? I don't know about you but I think all of this is OUTRAGEOUS and DISGUSTING. When you don't like something just kill the source and move on? That's it? That's all she wrote? Take out whomever utters a word you don't like? Boy. Rotten dwells within. Ugly evil is becoming a way of life. Take care that you are not a target. You never know when a burp or twitch or hiccup will cause your death because someone took it "the wrong way". God speed.
