Sometimes we think what we think we SHOULD think because to think otherwise means there is something wrong with us. Example?

Greed used to be reviled. But then Ayn Rand came along and insisted that selfish is a good and self-interest should be one's goal. That was capped off by Gordon Gekko in the movie Wall Street whose creed was GREED IS GOOD.

Now greed is celebrated emulated and honored. Show's ta go ya what honesty will do. Ayn Rand made bazillions of bucks and had/has bazillions of admirers. I think WALL STREET made a bundle at the box office as well. .

So that's how homo saps evolve. It's "better" to think what you think rather than what you think you SHOULD think. Healthier too. Progress is like that.
