"You can attract more flies with honey than with vinegar". Humans too? Are you SURE?

Would you rather have a spoonful of honey or a very crisp HALF-SOUR deli pickle? I'm just sayin'....

I take the honey.   I am not a fan of dill. Or sour.

I think my metabolism or system CRAVES salty and sour m2c. Years ago I'd eat FOR DESSERT Three or Four Sour pickles every night after dinner! I am not joking!. Sometimes I'd have a plate of fresh tomatoes cut up with a little bit of salt. I LOVE kimchee and pickes and those pickled peppers and jalapenos. I like sweet in very small doses. A bite of something will satisfy me. I dream of bags of corn curls which I used to eat but I haven't had any for DECADES! We don't eat anything with food dye with a number on it. Natural dyes like beets or carrots is fine. But put a number it and we do not eat it. Haven't had any for years. Maybe I should put that on my bucket list! Thank you for your reply! :)

I am a sweet and salty fan.  No sour and no heat.

I ate a big dill pickle once.  I just had to have it.  I got about 1/2 through it and was sick as could be.  Found out shortly after that I was pregnant. I was sick for the duration of the pregnancy.

That's awful m2c but kinda funny too. Isn't the stereotypical thing about pregnant women is that they crave pickles with ice cream or other bizarre combinations? I'm sure sorry the pickle caused you to barf. That is not a very enjoyable thing under any circumstances. So do you like KETTLE CORN? That's salty sweet and crunchy. I'm not a fan. I love caramel corn and I love regular popcorn but the kettle corn kinda leaves me high and dry. I don't know why. Thank you for your reply sweetie! :)

Yes Kettle corn is my favorite.  I also like caramel, cheddar both regular and white cheese. I will take the butter if that is all that is available.

We LOVE caramel corn. In fact up to a few months ago every week when we went to the market we'd buy TWO BOXES of caramel corn and consume them! Not very smart but boy was it ever good. But the sugar content isn't very good to binge on daily. So I just stopped buying. We like the regular salted, the cheddar and the butter flavor. I haven't tried any other flavors. Which is YOUR favorite? Thank you for your reply m2c! How often do you consume the sweet versions? We could eat a box a night between us. AARRGGHH!. It's funny because I don't really have a sweet tooth. But caramel corn? MY DOWNFALL as is  CRUNCHY CORN CURLS. I could make a meal of 'em. First eat the corn curls then top it off with the caramel corn! I'd better stop. We go to Winco tomorrow. Oh boy. Fingers crossed. Oh dear.  I think I'm doomed. :( This post was edited by RosieG at March 4, 2020 11:43 AM MST

  • I suppose I got hooked on caramel corn when I was a kid eating boxes of that American Icon "Cracker Jack". The nifty little prizes consisting of plastic whistles and pinkie rings made it all the better. Sticky fingers and memories of the aroma of a freshly opened bottle of Dr Pepper or Orange Crush! Thanks for the reminder

You're welcome. Ever eat the "Werther's" caramel corn? A step above cracker jacks. Thank you for your reply HG! :)

This is the best it is at Walmart: Get your cheddar and caramel in one bag....

We probably go through a few bags a month of some kind (we rotate so do not get burnt out on a flavor)
    Ice Cream is our weakness.

I avoid sweets. I eat pickles and like drinking the juice. I also have some drinking vinegar.

My sweet tooth was raging as a kid and I kept dreaming about being a grownup and eating as much candy as I wanted. I grew up. The sweet tooth almost entirely disappeared. I never figured out why. I will save pickle brine and put raw veggies in it like carrots celery cauliflower. After a few days I've got my own "homemade" pickles! We do what we can! Thank you for your reply E and Happy Wednesday to thee! :) This post was edited by RosieG at March 4, 2020 11:04 AM MST

I had a sweet tooth as a youngster, but I was very active and burned up all of that sugar. We don't need it anymore for energy.
