Any of you ever participate in clinical trials? What was being tested and how long did the phase you were in last?

Decades ago at Loma Linda University I participated in clinical trials for the drug CALCITONIN. It was a drug to fight osteoporosis and the phase I was in took TWO YEARS.

Clinical tests can take a very long time. Many years from inception to when a drug is ready for market.

It seems the CIC doesn't have a clue and believes a vaccine can be brought to market in a couple of months. If it were people could die. You have to TEST it out before you spread it around to know if it is SAFE and efficacious.

Some trials stop because what they find is not good. That is the point of testing. Finding out if what you have invented/created is SAFE and does the job expected. That is not done in days or weeks or months.

I guess everyone but the pharmaceutical companies and those who have participated in the trials doesn't know that right? At least the CIC is clueless.
