Would Joe Biden ever have had a chance being elected president if it were not for his close association with Barack Obama?

If Joe were not Obama's veep would he have any chance at it?

I don't mean to be disrespectful. I just don't know what things distinguished him in his political career. I know about his loss of loved ones on different occasions. But not very much else. So what do YOU think?

He always brings up President Obama and if he didn't have that to bring up what would he be talking about?

I think so too which means he is riding on President Obama's coattails. Doesn't mean he wouldn't be a good president. That is an unknown for everyone until they get the job and do it. Thank you for your reply m2c! :)
