Hate is like bacteria. Its mindless. It's everywhere. It thrives when conditions are right and wanes when they aren't. It will never be fully eradicated. Just when people think it's been brought under control, a new "strain" emerges. Its infectious.
Homegrown hate has deep roots. Many times its rooted deeply through generations. As such, it's often overlooked. Thats why when it surfaces many are surprised. "he was always such a good boy." All hatred, when not controlled, will fester and grow. It will attempt to infect surrounding bodies through lies and deception.
We all have hatred "bacteria" within us. Anyone who says otherwise is only deluding themself. In many that bacteria is dormant, but in some it's festering and growing. Keeping that "bacteria" dormant is a constant struggle, but when we relax the struggle, the bacteria will attempt to grow. It may be inconspicuous at first, but soon that "bacterium" becomes a colony. Prejudice. Anger. Violence. Hate loves hate. The more colonies hate can join to itself the stronger it becomes. A couple. A few. A gang. A group. A mob. A community. A nation.
The only hope are "antibiotics" - Self control. Patience. Humility. Love. Forgiveness. Unless these antibiotics are administered continuously, hatred will continue to grow; consuming all who are in its path.
Hate has come to its great glory since dumb don was installed. I always knew it was here there everywhere in small pockets. But I had no idea it was such a huge enormous gigantic gargantuan behemoth in the United States of America. Did you? I suppose we owe dumb don a debt of gratitude for waking us up to reality. I'm still working on that one to be honest with you. I could have gone my entire life not knowing but well it was not my call. So now every day I struggle just trying to process it. I will never understand it or accept it or come to terms with it. I will die asking why why why why why? Thank you for your thoughtful reply Shuhak and Happy Friday. Our guv declared our state in a STATE OF EMERGENCY. I wonder if that will be the fate of all 50 states eventually? As if coping with dumb don were not enough we have COVID 19. Is this a test of our endurance? SIGH.
