Mike Pence has the solution! He thinks we should just "set aside" all talk of racism. He believes talking about racism is the problem. Stop talking about it and it disappears. Elementary?

While we're at it, let's stop talking about crippling credit-card debt and foreclosures. 

This is not new and the idea has been put forward many times by blacks and whites and browns alike. Morgan Freeman is on youtube saying the same thing. I am brown with brown friends and some of them do talk about racism and blame it for their problems and those people have poor outcomes in life because they do not drive themselves but rather let the idea that they are victims drive them and it is a curse. They fall behind in life and those who hear their attitude lose respect for them and it holds them back even further. I believe the worst thing that is happening to black people is that they are letting themselves believe that being black is what defines them and they are letting themselves be divided from the rest of the society as if they are on two different sides as enemies. If the the same was happening with brown people I know I would fight it as hard as possible because I do not want my daughter growing up with this type of garbage in her head that would ruin her life.

We are all hated. I am a "paki" and we all smell like curry. Chinks cannot drive because of slant eyes. There is a hate for every race. I am hated too by some for simply not eating meat. Others are hated for being fatty or skinny. I have seen hate in america over driving a car that is too expensive. Has the hate to you for being a jew held you back in your life? It has not held me back. I have also not being tricked into behaving as an animal or idiot to play into hands of those who want to divide brown people from others. Being brown is not what defines me and I define myself. Browns and asians are doing the best in america in measures of income and education and health and not being criminal, better than whites. Jews also do better believe.  That would not happen if we let other people define who we are and divide ourselves from society. That would not happen if we told our children that being indian or chinese or jewish means life will be terrible because of terrible racist white people everywhere.

That's because Mike Pence is a racist.  If he were gay and like this, he would be in the closet , we would not be talking about homosexuality.

I  bet another thing he ignores is sociopaths.  I mean talking about it.  Because he is and all he hangs with fit that bill.  (an inconvenient truth?  just don't talk about it)

It hasn't held me back, just as your ethnicity hasn't held you back..   That's because we didn't LET (your word) it happen.  Apparently, black people DID let it happen...

I had a HEATED discussion with a fellow mugger, who said something like, when black people find out they've been hornswaggled by the liberals, they'll really be pissed...  Now, I'm paraphrasing, of course, so I asked him HOW and/or WHY the black people LET themselves BE hornswaggled..  I said they must be STUPID to have let that happen to them...  He ARGUED that he DIDN'T call them stupid.. I did, he said..

So, I'll reinvigorate that argument with you..  If, AS a race, they LET themselves be TRICKED, (your word), then AS a race, they're somehow deficient, or stupid, or something is WRONG with them because you and I weren't TRICKED, and we were up against the SAME challenges they are..

So, HOW did the black folk LET themselves be TRICKED?

That is an interesting question. I cannot speak about black people because I have never had a discussion with them in the same manner that I have with brown people. The other brown people who hurt their own lives by letting others define them were raised that way and seek out friends who believe same and seek out evidence to back their point. I am not sure if it is proper to say that they are stupid. You take two equal attempts at computer AI and one learns with garbage and the other learns with facts and despite the same hardware running both one will be useless and the other will be effective. I would say that when the children are raised with distorted information they cannot help but to become distorted themselves, and when I see TV I see distorted information of all sorts directed exactly at black people and I do not see this with other races. I grew up mostly in america and TV did not tell me to behave different because I was brown or that racism would ruin my life or that I needed special help because my skin color would disable me in life. I was never told that whites had some privileged that I did not. I was never taught that if someone did not like me or hire me or want to date me that it was certainly because of my race and not any other factor. I was never given horrible examples of how someone of my race should behave and have those examples be held high with respect. So I cannot judge anyone as stupid but I believe they have been given distorted information that has distorted them and I feel much of what they are hearing now is serving to distort them more. I do not think that is an accident and I think selfish people are aiming to gain by dividing blacks from society and I think the black lives matter movement is part of that and I am starting to believe corrupt democrat party members are part of that.

Yeah. Me too excon. The Armenian  genocide at the hands of the Turks was ENTIRELY the fault of the 1.5 million Armenian people slaughtered/murdered. Absolutely.
