Empires rise and empires fall. Great nations arise and make an impact on the world scene before being relegated to the dust bin of history for making the same mistakes that have been made for thousands of years. No one ever really learns the lessons of history since humanity doesn't change significantly. It's easy to discern parallels in the flow of World History and Biblical History. There is a confluence of the two that one finds interesting. For those who are willing to look into the Biblical history of wars, internal strife, revolutions, uprisings, violent coups, degradation through immoral and unethical behavior, indifference and social injustices of cultures and societies over the millennia, we come to the conclusion that God intervenes and is the foremost player in the affairs of men. Whether it's the administration of justice and judgement that's seen or whether His Divine Providence is the hand of mercy and blessing bringing about a rescue of His own, God hasn't simply walked away from Creation as the Deists might advocate. He is thoroughly engaged, thoroughly involved and supernaturally mindful. Now I realize that there are those who disagree with this appraisal and that's alright. My own bias as a Minister of the Gospel is bound to surface now and then. Now, returning to the question at hand: Will God Himself intervene? Well, He's capable of intervention in a thousand ways. I doubt if it will be in the way that the question implies. The strangest aspect of this election is that the media, the politicians and various elements of this society want us to take the two Democrats that are left in the race seriously and that's difficult to do. Senator Sanders is a vehement Socialist and Communist sympathizer that loves running for office and drawing the attention, though not really serious about getting elected, while the former VP is a mentally impaired shadow of his former self. with nothing to show for after forty years of political "service". Only a nation with a slight vestige of its former common sense could give us such a mockery of democracy. The choice is clear: A flawed novice that has at least accomplished some of what he set out to do over three years ago. To the American Electorate I say: CAVEAT EMPTOR-- let the buyer beware!
