"20% to 60% of the adults in the world will contract COVID 19". The latest prediction. Got your attention now?

Or do y'all still think it's a hoax because the HOAX told you it was way back in December WHEN WE SHOULD HAVE STARTED PREPARING FOR IT INSTEAD OF DUMBING DOWN AND RIDICULING IT? SHOULDDA WOULDDA COULDDA will kill folks. But the HOAX said it was all a hoax and he wouldn't lie. Someone is lying bigly. Very bigly.

But you know what? We will find out who the LIAR is after this thing has run its course. If the HOAX lied to us no  matter. He does that all the time. However if the Science community is the liar then it is a very big deal.

I'm betting the liar is the usual suspect...HOAX. Place your bets. You're gonna bet on the HOAX or science?

Thankfully, there's a difference between contracting it and dying from it.
(though I realize that's little comfort to the families/friends of those who do die from it)

The World Health Organization estimates the mortality rate as 3.4%.

Compare that with the mortality rate for influenza-associated disease, in the US, for 2018-2019 flu season:
        0-4 years = 1.3%
        5-17 years = 0.4%
        18-49 years = 1.8%
        50-64 years = 9%
        65+ years = 48.7%
The overall mortality rate, though, was only 0.96%.  (35,157 deaths out of 35,520,883 infected)

Thank you for your reply Walt. Even now the HOAX doesn't have a clue about the lack of TESTING KITS available. When will he get a clue? The 26th of never. Happy Thursday.

Have you heard the NBA has canceled all their games, for the foreseeable future?
That's billions of dollars in revenue they are willing to give up, due to ONE player testing positive.
I wonder if the NCAA will follow suit?

The sponsors of a local sci-fi event and film festival, which was supposed to be this Saturday, have postponed the film festival until May ... and canceled the convention for this year.

Yes I have. Subsequent to your response many more cancellations are occurring. Jim and I are RETIRED and have the luxury of staying away from everyone all the time. We go to the market. We pay bills. We pick up prescriptions. THAT'S IT! How many others have that luxury Walt? We are at HIGH RISK and we have to live the best way we can KNOWING THAT. That is our responsibility. Hoping we all survive this but no guarantees! Thank you for your reply! :)
