By "here" you mean in California right Shuhak? Well that's a very good thing. Did you hear Governor Cuomo yesterday? He seemed very PRESIDENTIAL and is implementing many strict things. I expect then he will somehow see to it that all students have access to computers. Even the very poorest ones. Thank you for your reply! :)
Varys by school. The high school here issues Chromebooks to each student in their freshman year. They return it when they graduate. We purchased an insurance policies in case of loss or damage for $25. Costs $200 to replace otherwise.
But even with the Chromebook internet service is still required to use it. There is free WIFI at McDonald's but if those are limited to drive thru only.....not sure how that helps the student without internet at home.

That is AWESOME M2c. Thank you for providing that info to us. So maybe the kids who are prevented from going to school can still learn from home. I don't know about going in to a restaurant like McDonald's though. I read that they are limiting service to DRIVE THROUGH. STAY SAFE. Happy Tuesday! :) We're going to Walmart this morning at 6am. Don't know what we'll find there but we're hopeful that not all shelves have been stripped bare. SIGH.
