Do dogs have better protection from ticks than people do?

    Definitely not. They rely on humans to provide protection, many of whom neglect to do so. :(

    Dogs are lower to the ground, where ticks generally hang out. Their fur is easy for ticks to grab onto, and their normal body temp is higher than that of a human, which is one of the ways ticks find their hosts.
