My guess is hair salons and barber shops are used to sterilizing their equipment between uses (or should be), and can schedule their clients to comply with social distancing guidelines.
Gyms also strongly encourage "wiping down" equipment before and after use. At least, every gym I've been to does. And people who are healthy have a higher chance of fighting off the virus.
I admit, I'm stumped on why bowling alleys. While I have seen them spray the inside of shoes, I've never seen them clean the balls or other surfaces after each use. (that's why I bring my own shoes/ball/towel) Maybe the bowling alleys are a control group? "What happens if we open places that aren't used to sterilizing after each person?" kind of thinking.
That is an excellent point Walt. Sterilizing is standard ordinary practice so that would be very extremely helpful. I wonder of the higher risk old folks will be anxious to get back to "normal" as the younger folks? After all death is seeking us more often ordinarily that the youngers. I guess we'll find out if the hot to trot states see an enormous rise in infections/deaths. How they will transfer it to not thems will be very interesting. Thank you for your reply! :)

I agree with thee E. But there are bazillions whose day is ruined if it is a bad hair day. Men as well as women I suspect though probably not as much. Ego ya know. We shall find out if the choices of opens is brilliant or tragic soon enough. Meanwhile we who know better and value life watch and wait to see the outcome of their fate. SIGH. Thank you for your reply! :)
