The antidote is to elect people who are more concerned with the welfare of the country and its inhabitants than they are about lining their own pockets. Let's do away with lobbying; let's reform campaign finance so that all candidates get the same amount of money with which to work. Let's elect officials who work with the theory that we are co-dependent upon one another, not against each other. There's plenty of room for differences of opinion and cultures. We don't all have to think alike, but we all have to work for the common good as a nation.
Hear ye! Hear ye! Hear ye! Make extinct LOBBYING and LOBBYISTS. PARASITES all of them. Find honorable HONEST GOOD PEOPLE. They can't have all died out can they? We are a world of globalism. So the isolationist populist nationalists are reactionary and out of step with reality. They will always be intellectually limited because they cannot see the entire picture...only a tiny piece of it. Which is why they are all uniformly WORTHLESS. Thank you for your reply L! :)
I doubt the Founding Fathers ever intended for politics to become what it is today. The same way that the agricultural South needs the industrial North and vice-versa, the left needs the right and vice-versa. We should be doing what is best for the greatest number of us, not special interest groups.

None. I hope in the not to distant future, people in this country come to realize what the politicians are doing by keeping us divided. A house divided cannot stand.
